Afghan professional with extensive experience in social work and coordination in international organisations such as MSF, INTERSOS, IOM, GIZ and ATR Consulting, where he has carried out social work and gender tasks. Currently, he works as a freelance translator from Pashto, Dari and Urdu into English. He is a poet, writer and social activist, committed to gender equality and peace building. In Afghanistan, he led initiatives to educate girls in rural areas and vulnerable women. Due to his collaboration with international organisations, he has been targeted by the Taliban regime. He exiled to Pakistan, where he continues his work hidden from the authorities. More than 3 years ago, he applied for asylum in Spain, but his claim was refused.
